Summary

Another Baby-sitters Club graphic novel adapted by New York Times bestselling author Gale Galligan!
It's the first day of a new school year, and while Mary Anne doesn't know what to expect from the eighth grade, she's looking forward to getting back into the swing of things。 One thing she definitely doesn't expect is to meet Logan Bruno, who just moved to Stoneybrook!

Logan has a dreamy southern accent, he's awfully cute。。。 and he might be interested in joining the BSC。 But the baby-sitters aren't sure if Logan would make a good club member, so they send him on a job with Mary Anne as a test。 Logan and Mary Anne hit it off, but Mary Anne isn't sure of where their friendship could go。 Life in the Baby-sitters Club has never been this complicated -- or this fun!

I don’t think I’m alone in saying that when I see a book turned into a movie, or a tv show, or a graphic novel, that I want to see the characters depicted as they were described in the source material。 Some of the characters were sort of cute, but I’m not crazy about the drawing style。 Definitely prefer the original books。Edit: okay, I’m sorry。 Tigger。 Aww。 Tigger。

This one was pretty cute, and I love some of the outfits! :))

Another awesome addition to my comfort series! This is my new favorite。 :DThe only con to this book (and frankly, to all these books) is that they make me realize how lonely I really am。 LOL。

It was absolutely adorable。

This book was so cute I loved how Logan loved Mary Ann but she didn't even realize but at the same time I hated that she didn't notice! This book was so cute I loved how Logan loved Mary Ann but she didn't even realize but at the same time I hated that she didn't notice! 。。。more

I love these but I think maybe Mary Anne’s struggle wasn’t as clear as the first book we got starring her? I’m also coming to terms with the fact that he one I identify as might be Malory。 She hit me with that line “nobody I know has heard of half the things I like。” So glad she found Jessi。

Boy, this takes me back。 I remembered vaguely most of the characters and plot。 When I read this graphic novel, the memories all came flooding back。 Loved the pacing in this one, the dialogue boxes and action are easy-to-follow, and I liked how every character is just so dang nice。 I don’t remember real middle school being anything like that, but I digress。 These graphic novels are quick reads。 I think I devoured it in an hour。 I don’t have any complaints about the book—pacing, story, characters Boy, this takes me back。 I remembered vaguely most of the characters and plot。 When I read this graphic novel, the memories all came flooding back。 Loved the pacing in this one, the dialogue boxes and action are easy-to-follow, and I liked how every character is just so dang nice。 I don’t remember real middle school being anything like that, but I digress。 These graphic novels are quick reads。 I think I devoured it in an hour。 I don’t have any complaints about the book—pacing, story, characters are all good。 。。。more

Could any thirteen-year-old boy be that self-possessed? Honestly? What a dreamboat, though。Great illustrations。 The best is the sequence where Mary Ann hits the vice-principal with her shoe。

Sophie

Very short and pointless but a fun read!

Very good book! Won’t spoil anything but I do recommend reading the other 7 books first! Also, it took me less than 1 hour to finish so it’s awesome!

This is such an amazing book! I fell in love with the Smile sires by this author and the babysitters club is no different。 I would recommend reading this if you like drama, cute kittens and lots of laughs!

Yes。 I docked an entire star because Jackie Rodowsky is known for TWO things。 1) Being a walking disaster。 2) He's a redhead。 I can forgive almost all the other changes but you give me redhead Jackie or you suffer the consequences。 Thems the rules, folks。 Yes。 I docked an entire star because Jackie Rodowsky is known for TWO things。 1) Being a walking disaster。 2) He's a redhead。 I can forgive almost all the other changes but you give me redhead Jackie or you suffer the consequences。 Thems the rules, folks。 。。。more

Series continues to be really cute! Here we see Mary Anne starting to break out of her shell a little and getting her first crush on a boy (who, thankfully, seems very sweet)。 Her dad seems to be relaxing a bit more, too (thank goodness)。 Also, the club is getting more business, so enter more club members (and, consequently, more diversity - also thank goodness!)。Side note: I appreciate the diversity of the background characters, including at least one person in a wheelchair and someone using fo Series continues to be really cute! Very adorable! I read the BSC novels as a kid and re-reading them now as an adult reminded me very starkly that they are not made for my age group (lol duh!), but these graphic novel adaptations of the books are the perfect solution for the nostalgia fix I was looking for — a fresh take on the stories in a different format, with very delightful art by Gale Galligan。 I enjoyed every page of this! This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This is a really good read。 I loved it, it was a bit romancy but it was more like the first crush kind of love。 You know? I loved it Mary Anne is a great character and it was just wonderful。 They hit it off when they were babysitting and then they went to the dance together。 I just loved this book it was wonderful and quite interesting。

Morgan Hedglin

Mary Anne is my least favorite BSC member, and this one was mainly about her。 I get being shy, but running out on the dance and her own birthday party just seemed over the top annoying and childish。 She’s lucky the rest of the BSC are such good friends to her despite this。 🤷‍♀️

I never read the original series and have only read a couple of these graphic novel adaptations。 My students adore them。 I have multiple copies of each and bought this one for when my school library eventually reopens。 It's a sweet, relatable story of crush turned into first love。 I never read the original series and have only read a couple of these graphic novel adaptations。 My students adore them。 I have multiple copies of each and bought this one for when my school library eventually reopens。 It's a sweet, relatable story of crush turned into first love。 。。。more
